Summer Activity in Toronto ; Wasaga Cottage Trip

I’ve never been to Wasaga beach myself but I’ve seen a lot of awesome pictures of people’s cottage trips at Wasaga. Its a great way to enjoy summer with a few friends at a cottage and its near the beach too.

Personally – not my cup of tea. I’m not sure if I can live in those cottages and the beach doesn’t look that clean itself. The cottages look quite old and not super clean. I just can’t picture myself at cottages like this. That’s just my preferences.

Online Shopping Addict

I started my online shopping craze since the winter. Not gonna lie – when winter hits Toronto – all I want to do is hibernate at home. Look outdoors now – mid-April – it still does feel like winter weather. That’s how my online shopping came out from. I went from buying burlap table runners to ceramic dishes to hair clips. The list never ends and it’s a crazy habit to have. I just hope summer weather is around the corner – so I’ll be staying away from my laptop for awhile. One thing I enjoy the most during online shopping is having the mailman deliver my packages to my doorstep. I think my mailman is tired of seeing me two times a week now!

Summer Activity in Toronto ; Summerlicious 2013 Prix Fixe menus

Are you a food lover? Love to try different things? Well this is for you! I haven’t been to any of the Summerlicous events myself. Although I love food and everything. I’m just not into the downtown traffic plus the paid parking. How is it going to work when your parking fee is more expensive than your dinner? It just doesn’t work out for me. I love the price of the menu and the different varieties they have. But just never got a chance to head downtown to try it out.

For this year – I do want to try these restaurants out. I waited long enough. So to avoid traffic and paid parking – my only solution is Go Bus my bum downtown and enjoy a Summerlicious dinner with some friends. Any suggestions on your favorite Summerlicious spot? For lunch or even dinner? Feel free to leave a comment below to share eh!

Summer Activity in Toronto ; CNE (Mid August – Early September)

A bit early blogging about summer events. This really shows how much I miss summer! Nonetheless I’m going to blog about the events I’m bringing my son this summer. Summer is a time to go out and enjoy the wonderful weather we have in Toronto.

If you are visiting during Mid-August to Early-September – you can join this event too! Canadian National Exhibition is only opened for 3 weeks in a year – so if you miss it this year – you’ll have to join next year. To us – we’ve been living here long enough that its nothing special anymore. We still do go every year for the heck of it. Since we added a new addition to our family – that gives us another reason to go. Just to enjoy the weather, the games, the food, and the shopping. There is an entrance fee to get into the park. Ranges from $5.00CAD to $15.00CAD – it all depends when you go. Sometimes you can even find discounted coupons online! Are you ready for the fun?

My Cuba Trip

Hubby and I just came back from Cuba a couple of days ago and it was an awesome trip! One of the best trips we had so far and enjoyed it to the fullest. We brought back some cigar ashtray as souvenirs from Cuba. It’s pretty unique and I hope for our friends that smoke would have good use for it. Buying souvenirs at Cuba was pretty inexpensive and we got a lot of unique things too. It was a fun and relaxing trip!

Summerlicious Toronto

Summer is on its way and I’m looking forward to it! Actually – I’m dying for it to come! I’ve never been to any of the Summerlicious or Winterlicious events in Toronto and this year – I want to try them out. Reason why that I’ve never been to any is because most of these events is in Downtown, Toronto. I hate going downtown because of the traffic and paid parking. Its just not convenient to me.

Swimming Pool in Condos

One of the things I want in a condo is an above ground pool at the very bottom floor. It’s like a luxury thing to have – you can go downstairs to relax whenever you want or even use the sauna. This is one of the things we must have when looking at condos. The other thing is a walk-in closet, open concept, and double sink master bathroom. Am I asking for too much or what?

Toronto Snow storm 2013

If you live here in Toronto – one of the things you have to deal with is WINTER. Winter is the longest season in Toronto and one of the worst seasons. Well this year – it was bad because we did have a couple of snowstorms. Year 2012 wasn’t as bad because there weren’t that much snow. There’s pros and cons living in a city where there is 4 seasons in a year.
