Booking a flight through agency vs online

I always thought booking flight from a travel agency is a bit more expensive because you gotta pay them for the work they do for you. Which is right! I asked a friend of mine that took travel and tourism. I asked her is it cheaper to book a flight from the agency or to book it online. She recommended me to book online because agency is usually good with the tours instead. Good thing I’ve always booked my flights online and not from an agency! Its really easy booking online!

[Travel] Pajo’s Famous Fish & Chips @ Vancouver

After the long walk to Stevenson Harbor – we headed to Pajo’s Famous Fish & Chips. They have the most famous fish and chips here – by looking at the line up. It’s a must try. My cousin is a fan of fish and chips and he wouldn’t mind having it every day. So if he says this place is good – it must be good.

This is how the fish and chips look like. The fish was very juicy and tender. I didn’t have too much because I had a huge lunch before than. It was quite expensive for one though – from $12.00 to $14.00. Pretty expensive if you compare it to restaurants. But it’s of course very different.

[Travel] Downtown, Vancouver

Downtown, Vancouver is quite comparable to Downtown, Toronto. Except that – Downtown, Vancouver buildings are more unique then Toronto. Again – both Downtown, I wouldn’t recommend to take a walk on your own by yourself. There’s a lot of weird people: drunk, hobos, and drug addicts. It’s quite dangerous huh?

I never been to Downtown, Vancouver in the afternoon – but night time sure does give the uniqueness eh? A lot of clubs and bars are run at night here. A nightlife district huh?

[Travel] Queen Elizabeth Park @ Vancouver

Queen Elizabeth Park is famous for taking pre-wedding photos and any other special events. I gotta say – the government in Vancouver put a lot of funding in their nature parks. I mean – Look at all these beautiful flowers below. I was told that each year – these flowers are different. They put a lot of money and time into these parks. It amazes me and not only that – it’s very very clean.

The day we cruise this park – it was such a warm and sunny day. I even saw a couple of bride and grooms taking photos there. Same with graduating classes.

Planning our next Vancouver Trip 2012

Vancouver is a very beautiful place to be during the summer season. But not so much during spring because of the rainy season. But never mind – I used to go to Vancouver every once a year to visit my realities and visit my mother’s grave. She’s buried there and going to Vancouver every year reminds me of her. A part of her is in Vancouver.

It’s only 2011 December – why am I planning so far up ahead? Well – that’s because I’m a huge planner and I wanna know what’s up next year. Next year March – we’ll be expecting our very first baby. I wanna bring the baby to Vancouver for my relatives to see him and if I could – visit my mother? But I’m not too sure about bringing a baby to the grave yard though. A big part of me is missing when I think about my mother. It saddens me and I just can’t let go. Why is it so hard?

We plan to visit Vancouver at the end of next year if everything goes well – if we’re not visiting Vancouver. I plan to go some place else – probably on a cruise or something? Mama needs a vacation too right?

[Travel] Lynn Canyon @ Vancouver, British Columbia

You’ll be seeing a lot of green and water in this post! Lynn Canyon is famous for the Suspension Bridge (which is on my next post, stay tune). This park is absolutely free entrance and parking. If your a hiker – you would have a lot of fun exploring this area. A lot to see and when the weather is warm – you can even play in the water too. It’s just too bad when we went – it was too cold to play in the water!

Lots of green and water eh?

This is the entrance of Lynn Canyon. Unique eh? It’s a very nice park for people to visit. I think this is one of the most popular one. Maybe because of the Suspension Bridge?

[Travel] Imperial Court Beijing Cuisine @ Vancouver, British Columbia

This was one of the fancy restaurant we went to when we were on our one week trip. I love the service there – it’s really what kind of price we pay for. If you want better service – you go to a much more expensive restaurant. For me – I love good service – so I don’t mind paying for the price.

I gotta say – the food was fantastic. I’m usually not a fan of Chinese food because to me – all the Chinese food I ever had tastes the same. But this restaurant does have some unique Chinese dishes. I would definitely visit this restaurant next time.

Restaurant: Imperial Court Beijing Cuisine

Restaurant Rating: 10/10
Service Rating: 10/10

[Travel] Granville Island @ Vancouver

Our uncle and aunt took us to Granville Island on the same day they took us to Kitsalano beach. It amazes me how many theme parks they have within such a small town. By this time – I’m exhausted already from going to all these places. I only had a few days – but I manage to cover almost the whole Vancouver. Crazy traveling huh? Thank god that my uncle and aunt is retired too.

Granville Island is like a little small community/town. They have little gift shops, coffee shops, and meal areas. They even have a huge market here to share with their visitors. It was pretty busy that day because it was a Sunday

[Travel] Vancouver, British Columbia Houses

Vancouver houses are really expensive in the house market right now – like these ones. I don’t think I can ever afford to live in one of these. They cost up to 1-2 million dollars. Vancouver lands are much more valuable now then 10 years ago. If you bought a house years ago – you’ve probably made some money from it. But if you are thinking of buying a home in Vancouver, you gotta start saving. From these years – the house market have always been going up – not down. When will the home market crash?

Why is the house market sky rocketing? From what I know – there’s a lot of Chinese immigrants that are buying houses. That’s why the market is sky rocketing. For the Chinese who migrates to Canada are usually rich. So now you know why the house market has been going up instead of going down. Not an advantage for locals eh?

Thank goodness, Toronto lands aren’t as crazy as Vancouver but it is still very expensive in this time of the year.

[Travel] Suspension Bridge, Vancouver British Columbia

This was the Suspension Bridge I was talking about from my last post. This bridge is located inside Lynn Canyon. You have to hike for about 15 minutes to get to the Suspension Bridge. There is two Suspension Bridge – this one we went to is the shorter one that doesn’t require a fee. If we were to head to the longer bridge – there will be a fee. It’s the same bridge – except for the length.

It was very difficult for me to walk through the bridge because the bridge does move when people shake it. I didn’t dare to look down because I’m very scared of height. All I did was look what’s in front of me. Scary huh? But thank goodness it was such a short bridge. I’m pretty sure if I look down – the view would be awesome. Have you been here before?

This is how the bottom looks like under the bridge. I didn’t take these photos!

The only downfall was that the hike was really muddy! Thank goodness that I wore my rain boots. So don’t forget your rain boots when hiking up to the Suspension Bridge! It was a wet day for us that day – but nonetheless, it was very enjoyable.
