Summer Activity in Toronto ; Taste of Asia & other night markets

When summer is here in Toronto – there is a lot of different night/food markets that’s out! Let me name a few – Taste of Asia, Taste of Italy, Night it Up at Markham Civic Center, T&T Waterfront Night Market, Rib Feasts, and many more. If I remember correctly – almost every weekend there’s an event in Toronto. Don’t miss out these yummy events if you love street food!

Personally – I’m not a fan of street food. I like to enjoy my food sitting at a peaceful place and a table and chair to sit on. Street food is not my favorite.

Summer Activity in Toronto ; CNE (Mid August – Early September)

A bit early blogging about summer events. This really shows how much I miss summer! Nonetheless I’m going to blog about the events I’m bringing my son this summer. Summer is a time to go out and enjoy the wonderful weather we have in Toronto.

If you are visiting during Mid-August to Early-September – you can join this event too! Canadian National Exhibition is only opened for 3 weeks in a year – so if you miss it this year – you’ll have to join next year. To us – we’ve been living here long enough that its nothing special anymore. We still do go every year for the heck of it. Since we added a new addition to our family – that gives us another reason to go. Just to enjoy the weather, the games, the food, and the shopping. There is an entrance fee to get into the park. Ranges from $5.00CAD to $15.00CAD – it all depends when you go. Sometimes you can even find discounted coupons online! Are you ready for the fun?

Paradise Vacations

I was taking a walk around our neighborhood just last week and we went into this little plaza near by. This cruise ship centers makes me really want to go on another vacation! I’ve been on a vacation not too long ago – but I don’t mind going on another one !! It’s so tempting – I wish I can go on vacation any day and just go off for a long while. I actually like really long vacations but since now I have a job and blogging work to commit to – going on long vacation for me does not exist anymore. Well maybe when I retire when I’m 45 years old – now that’s a different story.

Are you an explorer? I just like to relax and live life to the fullest and see all part of the world. That’s my goals and plans! I cannot wait for it!

[Travel] Lynn Canyon @ Vancouver, British Columbia

You’ll be seeing a lot of green and water in this post! Lynn Canyon is famous for the Suspension Bridge (which is on my next post, stay tune). This park is absolutely free entrance and parking. If your a hiker – you would have a lot of fun exploring this area. A lot to see and when the weather is warm – you can even play in the water too. It’s just too bad when we went – it was too cold to play in the water!

Lots of green and water eh?

This is the entrance of Lynn Canyon. Unique eh? It’s a very nice park for people to visit. I think this is one of the most popular one. Maybe because of the Suspension Bridge?

[Travel] Capilano Salmon Hatchery @ Vancouver, British Columbia

This is another tourist destination my uncle took us to. He told me how they breed the salmon babies here till they grow bigger – they release them. It was pretty interesting but when we got there – there were hardly anybody there. I guess no one takes care of this place anymore?

There were no fishes at all in these ponds! My uncle told me how before – salmons would be flooded in these little ponds. But too bad this time we didn’t see anything. Maybe next time in warmer weather?

We saw some really small ones. I guess better than nothing? Not worth going at all. Good thing it wasn’t a hike or else I’ll be really mad. Would I go back? I would – only if I knew if there is fishes there! But looks like government doesn’t have anymore funding for this unique site anymore. The gift shop closed down too.

European Cruise Deals

I think we decided upon going to tour Europe on a cruise – nothing is better than being on the cruise – it’s very relaxing and Europe to us – is a very romantic place. I want to go to different places and we will probably take a 12 day tour to explore Europe. I know the plane tickets there won’t be cheap – but let’s hope the cruise deals won’t be sky rocketing. Any tips on getting deals on trips like this? I gotta need to save a lot of money for this trip – this was one of the map I found online for the cruise tour. What you guys think? I need some suggestions!

Vacation to Vancouver, Birtish Columbia

If your going to Vancouver – you gotta be ready for the rain most of the time. That’s what I dislike about it – rainy days usually upsets the mood and getting to places is just not the same too. I used to live in Vancouver – maybe for 1 year only? I don’t remember much about it because I was so young back than – I don’t remember a thing to be honest. Living there is way different than living in Toronto for sure – the places are a bit smaller and the houses are twice the price. Not gonna lie – the land there is quite expensive if your buying a place. Not sure about the rent – rent might be as expensive too.

Would I ever move there? I don’t think so because of the cost of living and I don’t know much people there. Plus – its hard to find a job there because there’s not much opportunity.

We are planning to go up there in May to visit our relatives – so right now checking out the flight deals – it’s pretty expensive. $600 round trip – back than I used to go for $300 round trip. What’s up with the prices now? I hope it gets better or else I’ll have to delay my plan – but going up there is a must to visit my mother’s grave and my grandmother. She’s old and I want to see her as much as I can. Have you been to Vancouver before?

China Historical Sites

Am I a fan of China? To be very honest – not really but I won’t mind just going for the shopping. The shopping is fairly affordable there and a lot more to pick from. It’s hard shopping here because of the price and not a lot of variety. But of course – going back to China – I must see the historical places with my relatives as well right? Can’t miss that – because I won’t be visiting this place much. I want to know more about the past too as a Chinese. I learned quite a lot on this trip to China – it’s pretty fun and interesting.

Isn’t this place pretty? I love capturing different pictures :)

Main Street @ Unionville, Ontario

Main street is a very historical place to be. Its a very short street and it has a lot of different shops. They even have a little church and concert place outside. Very cute place to be in the summer and my hubby and I usually go there every year. It’s quite romantic sometimes. There’s a few restaurants, about two coffee shops, icecream shops, cloths shop and a few unqiue shops they have.

The houses and shops are kept originally from way back – gives a very historical feel to the place and that’s for sure.

We usually take a walk in the summer time and drop by the FireHall Confictionary for a cup of ice cream and just sit outside and lounge around. Very refreshing after the walk and seeing happy people around is another bonus. Have you been here before? If not – your really missing out!! Check out the pictures though!! Every year they have a special event that happens in the summer. I just can’t remember the name as of right now! Hope you enjoy this post!
