[Travel] kitsalano Beach @ Vancouver

Beautiful isn’t it? Hard to find something like this at where I live. It was just too bad the water was way too cold to play in. I have to say this beach was very very clean – no garbage at all. How could that be? I gotta rate Vancouver’s cleanliness very high on this point. They take really good care of their parks!

This beach would be just perfect for the summer! It was a late summer this year for Vancouver. I’m hoping to come back next August to enjoy being with nature.

So clean eh? Where do you find such thing in Toronto like this? I would love to live near this beach.

Bur Oak Plaza @ Bur Oak & Kennedy Rd, Markham

I’ve captured a picture of the Bur Oak plaza – this plaza is at a nearby neighborhood that is up north. We usually drive up to this plaza for some delicious food. They have quite a bit of restaurant in this plaza – a lot of variety too. From Japanese ramens to South East Asian food. You name it – they have about 5-6 restaurant in this small little plaza. They even have a grocery shop here – not a bad place to live when there is this plaza near by your house eh? Personally I would mind living so up north because there is not much malls nearby – but on a second note – it is pretty peaceful there. Who doesn’t love the peace right?

European Cruise Deals

I think we decided upon going to tour Europe on a cruise – nothing is better than being on the cruise – it’s very relaxing and Europe to us – is a very romantic place. I want to go to different places and we will probably take a 12 day tour to explore Europe. I know the plane tickets there won’t be cheap – but let’s hope the cruise deals won’t be sky rocketing. Any tips on getting deals on trips like this? I gotta need to save a lot of money for this trip – this was one of the map I found online for the cruise tour. What you guys think? I need some suggestions!

Vacation to Vancouver, Birtish Columbia

If your going to Vancouver – you gotta be ready for the rain most of the time. That’s what I dislike about it – rainy days usually upsets the mood and getting to places is just not the same too. I used to live in Vancouver – maybe for 1 year only? I don’t remember much about it because I was so young back than – I don’t remember a thing to be honest. Living there is way different than living in Toronto for sure – the places are a bit smaller and the houses are twice the price. Not gonna lie – the land there is quite expensive if your buying a place. Not sure about the rent – rent might be as expensive too.

Would I ever move there? I don’t think so because of the cost of living and I don’t know much people there. Plus – its hard to find a job there because there’s not much opportunity.

We are planning to go up there in May to visit our relatives – so right now checking out the flight deals – it’s pretty expensive. $600 round trip – back than I used to go for $300 round trip. What’s up with the prices now? I hope it gets better or else I’ll have to delay my plan – but going up there is a must to visit my mother’s grave and my grandmother. She’s old and I want to see her as much as I can. Have you been to Vancouver before?

Old Firehall Confectionery Unionville

This place is pretty popular in the summer. I’ve been here before and grabbed an ice cream cone with my other half. It’s pricey but really the rent here is incredibly high because it is a tourist area. Buying things at tourist places are usually expensive and expected right? So – I have no complaints at all. We live 5 minutes away from Main Street and time to time in the summer – we will take a walk down main street and have a nice romantic talk. It’s nice here in the summer – but definitely not my thing in the winter times. It’s way too cold to be out in the cold these days. Winter season is hibernating season for me. But for sure I’ll hit this spot up right when summer hits. They have a lot of treats in there too – lots of different kinds of cupcakes! I want to try their cupcakes next. What about you? Have you been here before?

Freezing Weather in Toronto

It’s been colder and colder by each day – don’t know how long I can take this anymore because of this cold weather. I wish my husband will just take the week off to drive me to work – so I can skip walking to the bus stop. I can’t stand walking and waiting for the bus outside for 10 whole minutes – it feels like one hour with the cold and snow. You get what I mean? At times like this – I wish I know how to drive. But the main point is – I don’t want to pay the extra money for a car and insurance right now. It’s out of the budget and it’s not very necessary to spend this kind of money now – since I do live 5 minutes from my workplace right? Sucks to be living in Canada that’s for sure.

For people that are thinking of migrating to Canada – please double check your thoughts and make sure you can stand the cold and the snow. Snow can give you headaches sometime. With shoveling and traffic on the road. It’s not an easy task living in Canada – I lived here all my life and I’m still not getting used to it. So good luck to you if you ever decide on migrating. If it’s me – I will migrate to Malaysia where the weather is all year HOT and summer. Summer in Canada is very very short – 3-4 months is very short.

Cuba Vacation in December!

Wouldn’t it be great to get out of Canada in the month of December? December is one of the coldest month in Toronto and I hate being here because of the very very cold weather and wind chill too. It sucks that Toronto has to be this cold – I would of love it more if the weather is like Cuba weather. But never mind – that won’t happened, because this is not CUBA!

CUBA is a very hot place to be while winter is here in where I live – I wouldn’t mind staying in Cuba for one whole month, but work is always in the way and I cannot afford to take a whole month off. Are you planning a vacation to Cuba yourself? Cuba people are really poor – so even if you bring them a pair of old shoes – they will treasure it. They are very nice people – just very poor in a poor country.

I wonder how much the cost to Cuba is – but no matter what in Christmas season – all vacations are expensive. But it’s very special to spend Christmas out of the country right? Enjoy your vacation to Cuba if you are planning to go! I will probably go with a bunch of friends end of April 2011 !

Europe Cruise Tour

Many of our friends have been asking us where we are going for our honeymoon next year. We haven’t really thought about it yet – but maybe going on a cruise ship to tour around Europe. Very romantic eh? But our honeymoon will be delayed for quite a bit because we cannot take so many days off from work. Probably delay till 5 months? Not too sure yet – but I do want to work on Christmas because those are good hours and good pay days. Who wouldn’t want to earn more money right?

I’m going to look into more travel companies to see what the deal is first – I know it will be quite expensive touring Europe and on a cruise too. Have you been on an Europe cruise?

Canadian Lifestyles

What can I say more about Canadian Lifestyles? I’ve lived here all my life and its basically my lifestyle now. Were not rushy people and we do things for a purpose.

What do I mean about that? I have to say – compare to other countries or nationalities. We are slow workers and we always have complaints for it. Why? Because we aren’t rushy people. We like to do things at our own paste. We believe in fairness and respect here. Unlike Chinese people – they care nothing about that – all they ever care about is the MONEY – which they under pay their staffs. I never heard of any incident where Canadians never paid or under pays their staff. Never in my life had I heard that. Anyways, another thing about Canadians is they know how to enjoy life – when they go on vacation – they enjoy it to the fullest without caring how much they are really spending!! Saving money is never for them because they live on paycheque. You see the difference? There is pro and cons.

Hong Kong Lifestyles

Have you ever experienced Hong Kong lifestyle?? I have for a couple months in my past and I for sure didn’t like it much because their lifestyle is just way too hard for me to live at. Everything is about competitions, everything is about brand names and everything is about the best.

How must everyone live like that in Hong Kong? I bet most of them live off from their credit cards. Since everything is about competition and they want the best of everything eh? Living in Hong Kong is not cheap – more in the higher end of things. Let’s talk about woman on the other hand – woman usually hires a Philippine maid to take care of the kids and they would go to work. Why is that!? When all the money she works for will go to the maid? Its because they rather use all the money to pay the maid instead of doing house work. When I heard this – its kind of ridiculous to me eh. Its a joke to me – they rather to be at work instead of taking care of their own kids????? Very unacceptable but yes there is woman in Hong Kong like that still. What more can I say right? They are demanding and they don’t make enough money.
